Mitie has a great opportunity for a CCTV Operator to join the Total Security Management Team working in partnership with Sainsbury's.

Job Overview
- To utilise Sainsburys Remote CCTV facility to identify, monitor, reduce dishonesty and criminal activity across the Sainsburys estate
- Working directly with the key support functions such as store security teams, Sainsburys SOC and operational teams reacting to live criminal activity
- Collating evidence and intelligence supporting the store detective manager and operations managers to effectively deploy store detectives and security officers
- Collaboratively working with store teams, SOC and local authorities to support successful prosecutions and crime reduction
- To support in reducing criminal activity within stores by both reactive and proactive approach to the role
- To retrieve and process evidence to support the successful prosecution of OCGs and prolific offenders
- Effectively carry out administrative tasks with meticulous attention to detail
- Working in unison with the SCIT team to reduce harm to Sainsbury's supporting the contracts strategic plan and assessment
Main Duties
Operations
- Utilising the remote cctv system to Identify prolific offenders and organised crime groups who target Sainsburys stores, supporting the deployment of security solution
- Utilising your skills and knowledge of offending and under the guidance of the store detective operations
- manager you will be responsible for effectively Planning suitable stores for a focus CCTV review either through local knowledge or other intelligence sources building positive relationships with all key support functions
- To effectively operate Sainsburys remote CCTV facility whilst adhering to GDPR guidance and Mitie/client legal teams.
- To identify areas of opportunity escalating to the store detective operations manager for further analysis
- Be a direct support function to store security teams during live incidents, providing appropriate guidance and enabling positive outcomes.
- Responding to intelligence gathered or gained through Retrospective CCTV observations you will be responsible for identifying stores stores where there is a need for covert CCTV to be deployed.
- Preparation of all CCTV material required for review/ further investigation or dissemination
- Completion of evidential police statements MG11 alongside any other necessary administrative duties
- Drive service excellence across the entire contract and share best practice by commitment to regular communication with key support functions
Person Specification
- A valid frontline and SIA CCTV license is essential
- Experience of security within a retail environment
- Demonstrable competence in the detection of dishonesty/criminal activity
- Ability to provide support in a constructive way in a challenging environment
- Effective team player but must also be capable of working unsupervised
- Ability to work in a fast-moving security environment
- Strong capability in the use of CCTV technology
- Good attention to detail
- Excellent organisation, and communication skills
