Job description

We are looking for an experienced Hotel Manager/General Manager to join the team of this modern Hotel.

Overall responsibility for customer management and the day-to-day operation of the hotel while contributing to the overall achievement of business goals; ensuring consistent standards of service are maintained. Contributing to the profitability of the Hotel through the monitoring of revenue and budgets, management of the team, and maintaining effective cost controls. Creating an environment to maximise sales.

GM DUITES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee the operational functions of the day to day running of the hotel.

Hold regular briefings and meetings with all head of departments.

Ensure full compliance to hotel operating controls, SOP;S, Policies, procedures and service standards.

Lead all key property issues including capital projects, customer service.

Handling complaints and oversee the service recovery procedures.

Responsible for the preparation presentation and subsequent achievement of the hotel's operations budget, marketing and sales plan and capital budget.

Manage on going profitability of the hotel, ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded.

Closely monitor the hotel business report daily and take decisions accordingly.

Ensure the monthly financial outlooks for rooms, food and beverage, admin and general, on target and accurate.

Act as a decision maker in hiring a key staff member.

Lead in aspects of business planning.

Respond to audits to ensure continual improvement is achieved.

Responsible for safeguarding the quality of occupational Health and Safety

Act, fire regulations and other legal requirements.

The Ideal profile:

  • Previous experience as General Manager in a 3*/4* hotel
  • Experience in Hospitality and 2 years minimum at Senior management level
  • Ability to lead, coach and animate the team
  • Passionate, with a hands-on approach
  • Has a personal commitment to hospitality, customer service & quality
  • Strong business acumen combined with an excellent leadership and liaison skills.
  • Is committed to the development of the business and the hotel team.
  • Strong Knowledge in Revenue and Sales.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
