Job description
Our hotel Holiday Inn Express Leigh - Sports Village, has 135 bedrooms and 6 dedicated meeting and event rooms. We are looking for Food and Beverage Assistant who will assist with Breakfast, Lunches, Dinners, Group & event Catering, and Beverage Sales when required.
You would be responsible for setting up, maintaining and breaking down the restaurant, bar, lounge, and buffet and for maintaining these areas. With a minimal supervision provide exceptional guest service by welcoming them and be well attended at all times.
You will also be assisting conference lunches whenever required and also serving food during the evening. You will be responsible to maintain the breakfast/dinner and lobby area in a clean and organised condition at all time.
Being a hotel, hours are variable; however, you will normally receive a minimum of 20 hrs per week, any day/any time of the week. You must be flexible and willing to work whenever required.
Salary: £10.18-£10.41 per hour
Breakfast duties starts from 7am, day dining and the bar from 11am and dinner from 5pm
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cleaning tables, dining, bar and buffet areas.
- Ensure self-service items are continually replenished and presented in an appealing manner.
- Wiping up spills and maintaining cleanliness of all appliances and counter space throughout the shift.
- Clearing and cleaning tables as they are vacated.
- Any other duties around preparation
- Completing daily, weekly and deep cleaning checklists
- Close out shift by cleaning and restocking supplies for next day or shift.
- Any other duties as requested by Duty Manager.
- During Dinner times, you will be delivering food orders to guest tables, assisting chef and washing dishes

Candidate must be permitted to work in the UK and a good level of conversational English is essential for this position. You must also be aged 18 or over since your role will involve serving on the bar.
