The Lion and Key Hotel (55 bedrooms) is located in the East End of London. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, friendly and approachable Receptionist, who have the ability to take direction and remain calm under pressure.

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Front Office Team as a Receptionist.

The Receptionist will be a hand on individual, reporting to the General Manager. You will be responsible for providing reception services for Guests. You will contribute to an overall exceptional experience from check-in through check-out, as required.

Full flexibility with the working hours is a must: this position is based on working mostly evenings from 3 pm to 11 pm.

Duties include:

· To be the essential point of contact for our guests.

· Assist all guests in a sincere and courteous manner, wherever possible going the extra mile to ensure guest satisfaction.

· To ensure that all guests are dealt with promptly upon arrival and departure, following the Company’s Core standards.

· Be fully conversant with the facilities, services and promotions offered by the hotel and whenever appropriate offer this information to the guest.

· To ensure all documentation (i.e. checks/bills) are completed as necessary and carried out as per the hotel and company standards.

· Professionally and competently operate the telephone system in line with operating standards.

· Help the bar/restaurant staff in busy times.

· To carry out evacuation procedures.

· Any other duties which may reasonably be requested.

The ideal candidate for the position must:

·Be fluent in English (multilingual at an advantage)

·Be an excellent team player

·Have great attention to details

·Have excellent communication skills

·Display a positive and can-do attitude at all times

·Display a professional and courteous attitude to our guests

In line with the requirements of the Asylum & Immigration Act 1996, all applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK. Documented evidence of the eligibility will be required from candidates as part of the recruitment process.

Job Types: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: £11.00-£12.50 per hour
