About us
The Bishop & The Bison is a small boutique B&B in Clifton Green, York. We provide a high-end service for our guests. The B&B won Visit York B&B of the Year 2023. We offer eight beautiful rooms, a Presidents Lounge for relaxation, deliver a delicious AA award-winning breakfast, and a gin bar for pre-dinner drinks.
The Bishop & The Bison is hiring! We are looking for a superb, well-mannered Hotel Assistant to undertake a room-tidy or a full room-clean for check-outs. Our current Hotel Assistant has been with us since Day 1 in 2020 but is finishing university and leaving York for her career.
The owners are a married couple called Anthony and Jonathan. We are friendly and outgoing, and we are looking for someone with a bubbly, can-do personality. We have fun at work, and we laugh and joke with our guests. Come and join the team!
Specific duties are--
- Handling a room-tidy for a guest that has not yet checked out
- Handling a full room-clean for a guest that has checked out
- Helping guests find their way in York / general chat
Full training is provided for all duties.
We offer a non-guaranteed bonus scheme that is paid during the course of the year to reward excellent commitment and a job well done. This is not contractual.
There is no on-site parking for the team but there is street parking across the street or close by. We can store bicycles for team members who ride!
