Hospitality & Catering Assistant

£10.45 to £11.09 per hour, dependent on experience

We currently have two Seasonal Hospitality & Catering Assistant positions available as follows:
Position 1:
Part time - 20 hours per week during the core season only (normally February to November) each year.
Position 2:
Part time - 16 hours per week during the core season only (normally February to November) each year.

What you’ll be doing
As one of our Seasonal Hospitality & Catering Assistants your duties will be varied to include setting up the dining room for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service, working in the kitchen assisting with food preparation and serving food to our visitors.
Our centre is always busy, so we need casual team members that are happy to help wherever required. As part of this role, you could also be asked to help our housekeeping operations, with tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
Typically, our core season runs from February to November every year. Seasonal roles allow you to experience working life in our outstanding education centres throughout the core working season allowing you to follow other interests and pursuits over the winter months secure in the knowledge that you have a job to come back to.
Example shifts include mornings between 7am – 11am and evenings from 4pm to 8pm.

Where you’ll be based
The Field Studies Council Millport centre is situated on, Isle of Cumbrae in Scotland. It has state of the art purpose-built conference facilities, twin bedroom ensuite accommodation with sea views, plus 7 teaching spaces comprising classrooms and laboratories.
We host learners of all ages and backgrounds from nursery schools, primary and secondary schools, Universities, adults and research placements from all over the world.
