Job description

Job Purpose:

To assist with the preparation, presentation, service and cleaning down of the hospitality meeting rooms and event spaces on the site to the company’s standard and the client’s satisfaction.

This involves, sandwich lunches, hot buffets, canapés, fine dining and drinks events that are held onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

Ø To provide a positive, confident, and welcoming catering facility for our clients

Ø Support with activities both front and back of house with a true 'one team' approach.

Ø To work as part of a team delivering a great standard of personal and general cleanliness and hygiene and to comply with company and statutory regulations.

Ø To play your part in maintaining a Healthy, Safe, and Secure workplace and ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation.

Ø As part of the team, you will be required to assist as directed with all aspects of food service; ordering, preparation, presentation, and stock control, as required.

Ø To receive, participate and implement all training offered on site

Ø To assist in other areas within the unit or other establishments within the group.

Ø Experience of working in a customer facing role within hospitality is essential and Level 2 Food Safety, Health and Safety and Allergen is desirable, with successful completion within 1 month (full training given) is a requirement

Ø To relieve and assist in other areas within the unit or other establishments.

Health & Food Safety:

Ø Act as a food safety and health & safety champion at all times, ensuring compliance as required

Ø Ensure the timely reporting of all risks. Support the proactive completion of corrective action plans emanating from site inspections, audits and risk assessments.

Ø Report to your line manager any risks, hazards and PPE shortfalls

Ø Ensure that you are following recipes as required, to protect customers at all times including those with allergies

Ø Carry out checks to ensure compliance on all labelling (FOH and BOH) and menus

Infrequent Duties:

Ø To assist at any special duties or functions which may fall outside of normal working hours

Ø To attend meetings, courses and training sessions as may be necessary from time to time

Ø To relieve and assist in other areas within the unit or other establishments.

Skills, Experience and Attributes:

Ø Previous experience of working in a business lounge, board room or fine dining environment serving high level of customer care

Ø Must be IT literate and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ø Must be able to identify and resolve issues and challenges to meet and exceed the expectations of our client
