One Hatfield Hospital, Hertfordshire has a vacancy for a Hospital Porter to join the team.
Remuneration: Up to £21K per annum (FTE) dependent on skillset and experience
Contract: 37.5 hours, flexible shifts from 07:30 to 19:30
Annual Leave: 33 days inclusive of Bank Holidays.
Hospital Porter
Duties & Responsibilities:
- The successful Hospital Porter will be responsible for providing an efficient, courteous, welcoming service to accommodate the needs of all patients and visitors to the hospital across all departments.
Qualifications
- GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
Experience
- Experience in managing own workload efficiently and meeting deadlines
- Proven ability to work effectively in a customer service role.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with people at all levels
Skills
- Empathy with vulnerable and sick patients
- Able to lift heavy items and manoeuvre patients on trolleys
- Ability to work and communicate at all levels in the hospital
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business
- Demonstrate customer service skills and awareness
- Willingness and enthusiasm to deliver excellent service to all stakeholders
Desirables
- Experience of working in a hospital desirable
- Experience of working in a private healthcare environment
