Job description
We are a small but growing beekeeping business. As well as looking after our bees to produce honey we also have an expanding honey packing and order fulfilment service working with usually premium honey brands to produce a high quality product.
You will be responsible for packaging honey in to the jars, sealing them and labelling as well completing certain food safety paperwork as required. We offer order fulfilment to some brands so packing honey for web orders will also be part of the roll.
The ideal candidate will be detail orientated and be able to pick up skills quickly to enable them to overcome issues and resolve them quickly.
Previous experience working in the food industry is preferred for food safety systems but this will be offered as training initially too.
The job is physical and involves lifting buckets of honey, up to 20kg as well as being stood while processing.
You would be working either as part of a small team of of up to three people but for smaller batches you will be working alone so trust and attention to detail are a must have.
You will get a 30 minute break at lunch as well as free teas and coffees. There will be possibilities of additional hours certain weeks and although currently advertised as a temp job we may look at extending that depending on volume of orders being placed
