  • We need: a Home/School Liaison worker
  • To start: As soon as possible
  • Pay Scale: NJC point 7, £22,369 FTE Actual salary £8,024.93 pa
  • Hours: 16 hours per week or can be flexible
  • Contract: Fixed term, term time only
  • Times: 3 days per week; days and hours are negotiable but need to be during the school core hours 08:00-16:00. Also flexibility in changing them when required. Term time only.

We wish to appoint a dedicated, hard-working and motivated home school liaison worker. The contract will be term time only, fixed term, ending 30th April 2024.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
To plan, promote and deliver group work and courses for parents and carers, including evidence based parenting programmes.
To do direct work with families to embrace the changes necessary to improve the life chances of the children and promote effective parenting strategies.
To promote and facilitate parental understanding of the child’s needs and factors impacting on them.

  • We will assess your knowledge of safeguarding by asking specific questions about this area of our role during the interview process and your answer to this question will form part of our decision-making process.
  • You will be provided with an induction process, and you are expected to engage with this monitored process.
  • Our safeguarding policies and procedures will be explained during your induction and on a regular basis.
  • Kings Hedges complies the Childcare Act 2006 and the Childcare (Disqualification) and childcare (Early Years Provision Free of Charge) (Extended Entitlement) (Amendment) Regulations 208. All shortlisted candidates whose role will involve the responsibility for the provision or management of such childcare (including teaching) shall be required to declare that they are not disqualified from undertaking such work.
