Pay Rate: £30,303.94
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Sunday to Thursday, 06:00am start
Location: Patchway, BS34 5TA
DHL, an award winning leading supply chain business is seeking a Drivers Mate to play a vital role in our daily distribution requirements. To succeed in this role, you should be familiar with all Manual Handling Procedures, with a committed attitude to Continuous Improvement, ultimately ensuring that all order deliveries are handled safely and in a timely manner.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices plus a high level of customer service, you will:
- Be responsible for assisting the driver in effecting multi-drop deliveries to customers homes
- Ensure that the customer experiences the very best in Home Delivery from the pre-call to the delivery and that all paperwork is filled in correctly
- Hold a full driving license in order to drive a 3.5T van
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
- Previous practical experience as a Drivers Mate, within a logistics or similar environment
- Previous experience of the preparation, distribution and handling of volume orders
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload
- Hold a full driving license in order to drive a 3.5T van
A recognised qualification in Manual Handling or Logistics will be well received.
