Stewartry Care, Dumfries and Galloway’s Award winning Employee Owned Health and Social Care Provider is currently looking for Home Carers in Kirkcudbright and surrounding areas.

We are currently looking for full time, part time and bank Home Carer’s to provide person centred care to service users living in their own homes in the Kirkcudbright area.

As a Home Carer, you will provide care and support with daily living tasks according to each individual’s care plan to enable them to live independently within their own homes assisting them to live full, happy lives staying within the comfort of their own home, this includes personal care (bathing, showering, assisting with dressing, assistance with continence), meal preparation, assisting/administering medication, assisting with mobility which may involve using equipment and social visits.
Previous experience is not essential as we provide a comprehensive induction and training programme ensuring that our Home Carer’s feel supported and confident within their role.
The day-to-day role of a Home Carer has many misconceptions and most people who are new to care never look back once they start on this career path. When you have such a positive impact on an individual and their families lives you can imagine how rewarding it is!

Salary: £10.50-£11.00 per hour
