SureCare are a brand new service covering Bradford and the surrounding areas, delivering quality care to a number of vulnerable individuals, within our community, in their own homes. We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals, to join our team of care workers. Applicants must be empathetic, hardworking and have a true passion for helping people.
We are looking for carers who will advocate for vulnerable individuals within our community and have a person-centred approach, allowing our service users to thrive in their own home. We are also looking for temporary staff to support with 12 hour shifts in Care homes within the Bradford and surrounding areas.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent. Successful applicants can be offered contracted hours although this will be performance based.
Purpose of the position
To provide personal, practical, social and emotional support to people in their own homes, in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence. The support provided by Care Workers is that which would normally be undertaken by a caring relative and will not include tasks which would normally be undertaken by a qualified nurse.
Main duties and responsibilities
To follow the policies and procedures of SureCare at all times.
To portray a professional image and represent the company in line with the Company’s high standards at all times.
The duties will include personal care such as assistance with personal hygiene, grooming, the management of continence and rising & retiring.
Contribute to the ongoing support of people who use our services and their informal carers.
Contribute to the movement and handling of people who use our services to maximise their physical abilities and mobility.
Enable people who use our services to maintain their personal hygiene and appearance.
Enable people who use our services to achieve physical comfort.
Assisting in the preparation and making of meals, drinks and snacks.
Enabling people who use our services to maintain a good level of nutrition and hydration.
To provide assistance with toileting, including emptying and cleaning of commodes, emptying and changing of catheter bags and the use of aids to continence such as pads.
Enable people who use our services to access and use toileting facilities.
To provide assistance with other tasks of daily living that people who use our services cannot manage alone. These may include cleaning, shopping, collection of pension, paying of bills and laundry.
Enable people who use our services to manage their domestic and personal resources.
Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of their environment.
To provide social support such as talking and listening to people who use our services, helping them maintain contact with family and friends.
Enable people who use our services to maintain contacts in potentially isolating situations.
Promote effective communications and relationships.
To record all actions and information within the home in a clear, legible and professional manner.
To report all changes in the health and social circumstances of people who use our services to the Registered Manager as soon as practical
Receive, transmit, store and retrieve information in adherence with the General Data Protection Regulations.
To work as part of a team with colleagues and work closely with other agencies and professionals involved in the care of people who use our services, for example District Nurses.
Contribute to the effectiveness of work teams.
To prompt/administer people who use our services to take their medication as identified by the support plan. Care Workers must not advise on the use of medication of any type.
Contribute to the ongoing support of people who use our services and others significant to them.
To work in accordance with the weekly work schedule and complete default sheets in a clear, legible manner including obtaining the signature of the people who use our services except in cases where it is known that the person is unable to sign.
Ensure timesheets are signed at all visits by agreed person, to ensure safety of yourselves and service users who use this system, report any issues or any deviations on time.
Maintain a written agreed record of work completed.
To attend any training provided by the company and to attend meetings, and reviews regarding the people who use our services as required.
Develop one’s own knowledge and practice.
To undertake all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, and abide at all times by the Skills for Care Code of Conduct. Of particular importance are policies relating to Prevention and Detection of Abuse and Confidentiality.
We are hiring for:
Full time, part time & bank positions
Shift patterns available:
Morning / Lunch runs (06:00am- 14:30pm Including alternative weekends)
Tea / Bed runs (14:30- 22:30 Including alternative weekends)
Shift patterns can be discussed to suit your needs, for example Morning / Bed runs or Morning / Lunch / Tea. Each applicant is required to work alternative weekends.
Nights- 22:00pm- 07:00am (Shift start and finish time may vary within these hours).

Qualifications:
Full UK driving license
NVQ Level 2- Desirable (Not essential to start, training will be provided)
Care Certificate (Not essential to start, full care certificate on the job)
Must be fluent in speaking and writing in English (essential)
