Norfolk Wildlife Trust is the county’s largest environmental charity, committed to the protection and enhancement of Norfolk’s wildlife and wild places.
NWT has an excellent reputation for the way in which it manages the Holme Dunes Nature Reserve. We also attract a broad spectrum of visitors from across the UK and beyond; specialist naturalists, serious and casual bird watchers to tourists, day trippers and those simply wanting to enjoy the breath taking scenery and wildlife to be found in North Norfolk.
This exciting 6-month fixed term role will focus on the protection of breeding shorebirds. This will involve engagement with visitors and local residents to highlight the importance of the site and its wildlife. The post holder will work with volunteers to monitor and protect breeding bird colonies through regular patrols of the site, engaging with visitors and dealing with transgressions in a non-confrontational manner. They will also host guided walks and visits to help inform visitors about the site, its wildlife and the importance of protecting it.
The successful candidate should be able to commence employment as soon as possible after an offer of employment is made.
The closing date for receipt of applications is midday on 8th May 2023. Interviews are likely to take place in mid-May
