Holidays are booming in the north east and we are urgently looking for new people and current National Trust staff who would like occasional hours of work preparing our holiday cottages for our guests.
The cottages at Souter Lighthouse are set in a location with amazing coastline and history, and you’ll reap the benefits of working in gorgeous surroundings. You will be able to work independently and as part of a team, having an eye for detail and great communication skills are always an advantage.
Immediate start available.
Hours: You’ll need to be available between 10am and 3.00pm with t he main changeover days being Fridays and Saturdays. However we are looking to build a flexible team across more than 1 location and we guarantee 50 hours per year minimum and probably more. Please apply and talk to us about the hours you can do. Contract: Fixed term contract until September 2024
Salary: £10.50 per hour
Internally you will be known as 'Holidays Operation Assistant'
The post is based at Souter Lighthouse, 5 miles/15 minutes drive from central Sunderland, 2 miles/5 minutes drive from Whitburn and 4 miles/10 minutes from South Shields.

What you'll be doing:On change-over days, you’ll make sure that everything’s clean and prepared for our guests to arrive. This will include making sure the cottage is thoroughly cleaned, well presented and welcoming for our guests. We’d also like you to keep an eye out and report any repairs or odd jobs that need doing along with replacing any broken items from the store supplies.
Full Personal Protective Equipment(PPE) is provided for all teams and additional extensive measures in place to protect staff. You'll require your own transport as public transport is limited. Free parking is available.
