ELFT is recruiting a Senior Specialist Dietitian to join the Forensics team. The post-holder will join other Dietitians in the Forensics setting to develop strategic and clinical workstreams, including service development and quality improvement projects, clinical input for complex cases, and supervision for junior staff. Working closely both with the Forensics professionals and the wider ELFT Dietitians, there is a strong emphasis on continued professional development and peer support throughout the trust. We hope to offer this exciting, challenging, and strategic role to a leader, who wants to address dietary health inequalities in this field.
- To develop and lead a nutrition and dietetic service to the ELFT Forensic Mental Health Inpatient Services. To provide expert specialist advice to the service & wider Trust and support staff in the delivery of food and nutrition policies.
- To lead the development, implementation and provision of a specialist evidence based nutrition and dietetic service to adult forensic inpatients.
- To take a lead role provide specialist nutrition assessment and care plans for service users.
- To contribute to the development and implementation of clinical standards, policies and procedures for the service.
- To participate in the training of dietetic students and health care professionals in specified areas of nutrition and dietetics.
- To be actively involved in continuing professional development.
- To lead on specific clinical audit projects and contribute to research to inform clinical governance strategy, service development and evidence based practice.
