We are a successful tier 3 specialist weight management team providing an innovative service to Blackpool and the Fylde coast. We strive to bring the best of evidence-based practice to our client group and support our patients with a wide range of treatment options.
You would be part of our expanding and evolving specialist team which comprises of Dietitians, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Experienced Assistant Practitioners, Consultant Endocrinologist and Administrative Support. We work in partnership with our Patients to bring about meaningful behavioural change and long lasting health outcomes .
Taking in patient cohorts 3 times a year, we work collaboratively with our patients following clear care pathways. We are proud of our caseload management which allows us to provide the intensive service our patients need.
Our team and organisation is committed to support staff through job planning, CPD opportunities and manageable caseloads.
We are forging links with our tier 4 partners.
We are happy to offer flexible working and are able to support both office and remote working for clinical and non-clinical activity. There is an expectation to attend in person on at least a fortnightly basis for staff meetings and face to face patient contact.

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is ideally situated just a forty five minute drive from Manchester. The Trust provides services to the 440,000 residents of Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre and North Lancashire, as well as specialist tertiary care for Cardiac and Haematology patients.

We recommend that all individuals employed in patient facing roles, or those located on a ward or department where patients receive a service should be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
This role will include a range of clinical leadership experiences including group education, one to one patient clinics including joint working with other team members , MDT meetings, liaising with our tier 4 colleagues and supporting patients on diabetes remission pathways. There is opportunity to review post bariatric surgery clients and share knowledge and best practice with our colleagues in primary care. Specific training for this will be available as required.
As the band 7 dietetic lead you will be expected to supervise and develop junior staff and contribute to the leadership and overall direction of the team
