The job itself
Bridlington School is seeking an experienced practitioner who can support LAC and PLAC students, removing barriers to learning and supporting their progress.
The Looked After Children Tutor will support one-to-one and small-group, subject-specific tuition specifically tailored for students who are either LAC or PLAC. They may also support revision lessons and provide additional support for LAC/PLAC students not in school. You will:
- Work in collaboration with LAC Manager, departments and the Assistant Headteacher Inclusion to identify the support each student’s needs, identify learning gaps and help create bespoke intervention programmes for students
- Developing and delivering engaging sessions to support a range of learning styles with clear learning objectives, considering any barriers to learning or additional needs.
- Delivering measurable outcomes from each session to track progress.
- Liaise with teaching staff to provide particular support to LAC/PLAC students.

About You
The successful candidate will have classroom based experience, but also an understanding of working with students and young people with trauma and attachment disorder.
