Assistant Clinical Psychologist - Adult inpatient mental health services

We are a growing group of psychologists (particularly Assistant Psychologists) with psychology provision expanding across our service. There are robust clinical leadership structures in place, with Senior and Principal Psychologists in role, and all Psychologists supported by one of four Consultant Psychologists - one for each broad service area. We are a friendly group, that meets regularly, and there is much opportunity for both formal and informal contact with peers. We have a strong ethos of looking after our staff and we work hard to ensure that people’s strengths and skills are evident, and nurtured, and people feel happy to come to work. Psychology is seen as a valuable resource across our Inpatient and Urgent Care teams and wards, and you will receive robust supervision and line management support, from within Inpatient and Urgent Care Psychological Services.

Inpatient psychological practitioners are an integral part of the team, engaging in co-production with staff, as well as people who use our service. We are keen to hear from those people who have a strong recovery ethos, have experience of working in inpatient services, are car drivers, and have worked across adult and older adult services (all essential); experience of writing complex reports and/or for publication is also desirable.
