Details of the role
The Apprentice Trainer will co-ordinate designated study programme delivery activities for the college, including delivery of high-quality teaching to meet mandatory awarding requirements and apprenticeship standard specifications. The successful candidate will have responsibility for day to day operational issues, exams and time tabling, ensuring a consistent approach is maintained, and inspire and motivate students through outstanding teaching and learning that stretches and challenges students to be the best they can be.
The Apprentice Trainer will be teaching, assessing & mentoring apprentices within a range of technical areas from level 4 to level 6. Including Site Supervision, Civil Engineer, Quantity Surveyor and Design & Build.
Further Details of the Role
In addition to teaching responsibilities, the Apprentice Trainer will manage student applications and respond to employer referrals, apprentice applicant interviews, establishing and maintaining close links between employer, college and apprentice. They will co-ordinate, track and ensure the completion of all elements of the Apprentices standard, mentoring apprenticeship in the development of their knowledge, skill & behaviours required for the standard both in the work place and at the college as necessary.
The successful candidate will assist students to compile portfolios in accordance requirements of the awarding body & end point assessment organisation, in order to ensure full compliance with all college and departmental quality policies and procedures.
The salary range is £28,261 to £40,257 per annum, working 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
Job Requirements
The Apprentice Trainer should ideally have a relevant industry qualification for example IOB/ICE and as an essential requirement you will hold either an assessor, coaching/mentoring or teaching qualification or otherwise be willing to work towards.
The successful candidate must be fully competent within the industry sector. With experience including:
