Team Support Driver
45 hour working week any 5 days from 6 (Monday to Saturday)

If you are an HGV Class 2 Licence holder with an in-date CPC card and Digital Tachograph looking for career progression and an opportunity to share your knowledge and experience then you could become a Team Support Driver within our Brakes Depot based in Bodmin, Cornwall.
As a Team Support Driver, you will assist with training and assessing of our drivers’ capability. You’ll be responsible for completing vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness - ensuring we are always compliant with Health and Safety, Hygiene and current vehicle and Tachograph legislation. You’ll take pride in your work, striving not to let any customers down and set an example of what good looks like - showing willingness to pick and deliver customer orders yourself to ensuring department objectives are achieved with a smile whilst maintaining smart and presentable uniform standards.
We’re looking for a leader who can effectively manage the performance of others and think on their feet to cover planned and unplanned absences. You’ll need to be flexible to meet the varying demands of our customers, getting a comprehensive knowledge of rounds and routes will support with this. The Distribution management team will rely on you to use your business knowledge and initiative to solve basic problems and make sound decisions.
You’ll need to have strong communication skills and be able to develop good working relationships with colleagues and customers alike. You’ll need to be able to prioritise workload, keeping the team updated and motivated to work together. You’ll be welcomed into the Transport office space and be willing to participate in development towards day-to-day objectives as Team Support Manager. You can expect some office based administration to complete so you will need to be comfortable with using Microsoft word and excel as well as completing paperwork accurately.
