A bit about the role
You’ll be delivering food and non-food products to our customers in multiple locations throughout the night. The route can vary on a night-to-night basis but there will also be regular customers, meaning there’s a good mix of both variety and familiarity, which our drivers appreciate.
This role will cover 5 days out of 7. This means that you may work some Saturdays, but not all. This is worked on a rota basis with our other drivers.
A bit about you
You’ll posses a Category C LGV Licence with up to date driver CPC. You’ll also enjoy a challenge and care about helping our customers succeed, taking pride in being the face of our company to so many people every day.

Accountabilities – may include, but not limited to.
1) Delivery of Ambient, Chilled and Frozen food products along with Catering Equipment products to multiple customer locations which may vary each day in a timely and professional manner.
2) Deliver Customer orders within food safety standards to the correct location as detailed on delivery notes and route ordering allowing for any timed drops or other irregularities.
3) Full compliance with security including vehicle and necessary equipment checks, paperwork and fuel cards are on board prior to leaving the depot for the day’s journey.
4) Full compliance with the company’s Operator’s License undertakings and all applicable legislation including; EU Drivers’ Hours, the Working Time Directive, tachograph regulations, mandatory vehicle checks, speed limits, driver licensing and, all aspects of the Highway Code and Road Traffic Acts
5) While at the customer’s premises ensure all goods are unloaded safely, efficiently and always in a considerate and polite fashion taking into account the care and attention for the general public at all times.
6) Liaising with our customers to complete delivery documentation and to collect cash while ensuring its security.
7) Obtaining signatures for stock delivered on account.
8) Take personal responsibility for keeping up to date with required medicals, CPC training and other legislative training or compliance requirements.
9) Maintaining your vehicle’s cleanliness and report vehicle damage.
10) Liaising with the debrief team upon return and supply accurate information and feedback about your route.
11) Control and return any stock, cages and pallets to their correct places after debrief in a timely and tidy manner ensuring all cages are returned to the depot and accounted for.
12) Subject to training, you may be required to work in the Warehouse as and when required
13) Subject to training and license requirements you may be asked to cover any other Driver role as and when required by the business
14) Technology will drive future changes to the business. You will be expected to adapt to any new ways of working and technological advantage subject to receiving the appropriate training
15) Health and safety accountabilities:
· Comply with the Company Health & Safety Policy.
· Support the BS OHSAS 18001:2007 accreditation process.
· Comply with all verbal and written instructions in matters pertaining to Health & Safety.
Attend Health & Safety training courses as per instructions from line managers.
