Job description

Total Environmental Technology Ltd are looking for HGV Drivers (both Cat C and C+E) to join the ranks in one of the nation's fastest growing waste management providers.

Job Aspects:

  • Working predominantly in the Yorkshire region, however there are plenty of opportunities to work nationwide. This is especially the case as the business continues to expand and branch out.
  • We operate with Articulated Vacuum Tankers, Bulk Tippers, Disab Vacuum systems, JetVac units etc.
  • Consignments include mostly non-hazardous substances.
  • When working further afield, drivers would be expected to 'Night Out', with an allowance provided each night. Notice of this will be given in advance so arrangements can be made.
  • Weekend work is regularly available, as the nature of our industry demands for call-outs throughout the year.
  • Following Customer site rules and procedures is absolutely essential - drivers needs to be aware that they are representing the Company at all times, and need to be respectful and courteous to all clients. This benefits both the employee and the Company, as our industry is heavily customer focused.
  • All PPE will be provided by the company. You will have a standard uniform and then depending on the job, additional items of PPE will be issued.

Requirements:

  • UK Driving Licence (must have <6 points).
  • Driver DQC and Digi Card.
  • Experience in waste transportation not necessary but advantageous, full training will be given.
  • Must be professionally competent and take due care in all duties, including excellent and accurate recording of paperwork.
  • Must be friendly and personable.
  • Must be committed to prioritising the Health & Safety and the duty of care for both yourself, colleagues and all those around you.
  • Must be available to 'Night Out' when required.
  • Must be available to work on weekends. This will be shared out equally between drivers, on an alternating basis.

Pay & Benefits:

  • 20 days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays (pro rata)

Salary: £25,163.00-£49,560.00 per year

COVID-19 considerations:
A comprehensive set of COVID RAMS will be included in the successful candidates induction pack.

Experience:

  • Driving a Goods Vehicle: 1 year (preferred)
  • Driving: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driver CPC (required)

Work authorisation:

  • United Kingdom (required)
