Job description

Kier Highway Solutions is currently seeking a qualified and experienced HGV Grab Lorry Driver to join our team based in Norfolk/Suffolk. Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our grab lorry, as well as the collection and delivery of materials to and from various locations.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Operating and maintaining construction equipment and vehicles

  • Ensure that whilst driving you do always so in a safe and courteous manner and within legal requirements

  • Assisting with the maintenance and repair of highways and roads, including patching, resurfacing, and repaving.

  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment and traffic management procedures.

  • Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate work and resolve any issues that may arise.

  • Loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment as needed.


Who are we looking for?

This role of an HGV Grab Lorry Driver is great for you if you have:

  • A valid HGV Class 2 or Class 1 license

  • CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) in Road Haulage

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience driving HGV vehicles, with experience operating grab lorries being an advantage

  • NPORS – Lorry Loading Qualification being an advantage

  • A clean driving record and compliance with tacho legislation
