Day Shift
Class 2 multi-drop delivery driver required at our family run Transport and Warehouse firm in Somerset.
We are now looking for a member to join the team. You will play an integral part in the deliveries and collections across the TA Post Code area.
About the Role:
- Full Time - Permanent
- Class 2 commercial vehicle driving in Multi-Drop Pallet Network
- Carrying out all necessary checks on the vehicle
- Physically offloading vehicle at delivery point by hand and/or electric pallet trucks at commercial & residential premises
- Maintaining the security of load
- Completing all relevant paperwork & inputting information onto hand held device linked to the office
- Operating all vehicle systems including tail lifts, pallet trucks and in-cab technology.
About you:
- Class 2 Licence (essential)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to read maps
- Understanding of Working Time Directive and load restraint procedures
- Knowledge of or experience in a pallet network (advantageous)
- Multi-Drop Driving Experience (advantageous)

Work Location: In person
A Class 2 driving position has become available with in our busy pallet distribution department. You would be working along side our dedicated team of drivers delivering multi- drop goods within the TA post code area. The majority of the work will be physical either using pallet trucks and/or handballing items.
The successful applicant:
- will be working at least 9 hour, manual/physical days,
- confidentally drive in rural & urban areas
- patient and able to communicate with customers & the general public
- ability think on their feet when faced with last minute route changes
You will be working Monday to Friday, guaranteed 45 hours per week plus a rota Saturday shift, possibly 1 in 5 weekends.
