Job description
Flexible People Ltd are currently recruiting 7.5t Home delivery drivers for a well known client of ours, based in Croydon.
This role involves working with a Drivers Mate to deliver large goods to residential properties. The type of goods you will be delivering are TV's, flat pack furniture, gym equipment, white goods etc.
Due to the weight of the products you are delivering you MUST be physically fit.
The company offer the customer a 'room of choice' delivery and sometimes installations, you will be fully trained on how to do this.
Upon succesful applictaion, all new drivers are subject to a driving assessment and multiple choice highway code/tacho exam. This will then be followed the next day with a subsequent induction day.
The company operate 7 days a week, you will be offered a 5 or 6 day rota per week but you will be required to work Saturday OR Sunday every weekend.
Shift timings are 06.00 start, shifts last roughly 8-10 hours.
Our client will happily accept newly qulaified drivers.
You must have a valid UK License, CPC and Digitacho, no more than 6 points on your driving license. No DD, DR or NI convictions.
Pay rates of £19.00 per hour.
The right candidate will be:
- Reliable and organised
- Have good communication skills and a good level of customer service
- Be fit and healthy and able to lift heavy goods
- Have your own steel toe cap safety boots and a high vis vest
