Job description
C & H Roberts Haulage are currently looking to recruit a Class 2 HGV day driver to work in our local area delivering Tarmac and Aggregates.
We are a friendly and progressive company. To be part of the C & H Roberts Haulage team you will need a genuine desire to offer the very best in customer service. Working Monday to Friday with optional Saturday shifts, you will be driving one of our 32 tonne tipper vehicles. You will be responsible for delivering on time. You’ll also be forging great working relationships with colleagues and customers, acting as ambassadors for C & H Roberts Haulage.
Normal working hours are generally 6am – 4pm with guaranteed 50 hours per week. However the haulage industry is one of varying hours and timings, and will require potential candidates to be flexible in their approach to start and finish times. We are looking for someone to work Monday to Friday with the opportunity to work alternate Saturdays. Shift lengths do vary but you will be expected to comply with the Tachograph & Working Time Directive regulations at all times.
Applicants must hold a HGV Class 2 Licence and full CPC in order to apply for this position. (Ongoing CPC training will be provided). Please note that any applications which do not meet these criteria will not be taken forward. Hourly rate will be dependent on the drivers experience and qualifications.
