Available Job Today We are looking for a logistics planning expert with excellent understanding of legal operational restrictions to manage backhaul performance of existing site transport teams and grow relationships.
You will support Wincanton’s Group Transport activity by increasing utilization of empty legs, driving revenue onto the fleet, and providing an effective network solution for our customers inbound volume.
Working alongside the planning teams to ensure the most efficient route to market is used. Managing both internal and external customers to ensure KPI achievement, customer satisfaction, budgeted profits, use of internal systems and legal compliance are all met
Typically, you will work with the Heads of Transport to develop site pipeline and Wincanton fleet opportunities by building strong effective relationships with the customer team and become the key point of contact for the Regional Wincanton Backhaul team.
As the Backhaul Manager you will require the ability to analyse data to produce the optimum plan, have robust knowledge of routing /optimisation software and be competent in report writing. Sound understanding of key unit cost drivers, haulage costs and the marketplace is also required.
