Tears Of Sutton Bridge provides a specialist recovery service from their depots in King’s Lynn, Spalding and Sutton Bridge and pride themselves on their excellent customer service and reputation.

Over the past 27 years they have made a continued commitment to develop and update a comprehensive fleet of recovery vehicles making them one of the biggest in the area.

Due to increasing work volumes and internal progression, we currently have a position available for a HGV Class 1 Transporter Driver to join our well respected company recovering a range of vehicles across the UK.

Key Responsibilities to include of the HGV Class 1 Transporter Driver:

• Receiving jobs either over the phone or on a PDA
• Attending broken down vehicles or road traffic accidents
• Carrying out plant and general equipment movements
• Moving vehicles to and from body shops / repair centres
• Accurately completing paperwork, job sheets and condition reports on arrival

As a HGV Class 1 Transporter Driver you will be a committed and incredibly hard working individual who is naturally affable and able to maintain a good level of customer service. You will be expected to be presentable at all times and uphold a ‘can-do’ attitude.

Key experience essential for the HGV Class 1 Transporter Driver:

• A HGV Class 1 driving licence is essential
• Recovery driving experience is advantageous but not essential
• Mechanical knowledge and qualifications are also desirable but not a requirement
• A presentable and tidy appearance
• Good customer service skills
• Happy to undertake an enhanced Police/ DBS check ( this is contractual requirement by the Police force due to the nature of contracted work undertaken)

Transport activities range from recovering vehicles and large vans to transporting forklifts and plant equipment.

Vacancy: HGV Class 1 Transporter Driver
Location: Based from Tears of Sutton Bridge depot PE12 9SH during shift hours.
Salary: Basic £33,000 per year plus overtime, with a realistic OTE potential of £35,000 + per year. (20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays)
Hours: 7am – 6pm (Monday – Friday)
