Job Title: HGV Driver
Reporting to: Transport Team Lead
Location: Kettering, UK
Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week flexible hours between 07:00 and 18:00 - You are also required to work such additional hours as may be necessary for the proper performance of your duties or that may be required to fulfil role.
BENNIE HAULAGE SUMMARY:
Bennie Haulage provides haulage and transport services for both the construction and equipment sectors. Our fleet of 8-wheel tipper trucks, low loaders and crane lorries available for bulk haulage, muck away, and plant & machine transport across the UK.
Our heritage in haulage dates back decades to a time when Bennie used to run in excess of 50 tippers across Northamptonshire and the surrounding areas. Our fleet of modern vehicles are available to meet all customer requirements.

JOB ROLE
An exciting opportunity to be part of a new and growing business. The role will be delivering our products and services across the UK, whilst providing excellent customer service and supporting the wider group of Bennie companies.
The successful candidate will be licenced and competent in the operation of HGVs across the Bennie Haulage fleet, supporting the diverse offering of the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Operating a variety of commercial vehicles including Artic Curtain Siders, Low Loaders Tipper Lorries & Hiab
· Ensure the safe and secure delivery of goods in an efficient and professional manner
· Compliance with legislation; Highway Code, Drivers Hours etc.
· Carry out necessary vehicle checks in line with legislation and company policy
· Mandatory completion and updating of driver/vehicle records
· Maintenance of vehicle and cab, ensuring a clean and tidy work environment
· Following of security practises to keep vehicles and equipment safe

COMPETENCIES
· Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
· Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence
· ALLMI Certificate (desirable)
· Experience with secure sheeting and roping of goods to trailer
· Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure
· Good geographical knowledge
· Customer focused approached with the ability to maintain positive internal and external relationships
