We are looking for a reliable, self-motivated individual that will take responsibility and use initiative in their work. We are looking for an HGV driver to provide support to our depletions team in the transportation of live poultry.
The working days are Sunday to Thursday. Start times will be afternoon or night. There is the availability of overtime to meet the needs of the business. There will be the necessity to have nights out where the journey time require as such.
Requirements of the role:
· Transporting live poultry from farms nationwide to our factory.
· Ensure the welfare of poultry during loading and journey.
· To complete paperwork comprehensively to maintain our high welfare standards.
· To manage time effectively to complete job in allocated timeframe.
· Maintain a safe vehicle through defect reporting.
· General maintenance to ensure cleanliness of lorry.
· Be professional and presentable as facing suppliers daily.
· Have a constant regard for Health & Safety.
Qualifications & Skills:
· HGV Class 1 licence.
· Previous experience driving.
· Experience driving Moffett preferred but training can be provided.
· Full CPC and tachograph card with understanding of driver’s hours.
· Ability to complete paperwork.
