Job description

We are currently looking for 2 experienced drivers to join the company on a 4 on 4 off basis with a start time of 3pm or 9pm. The successful candidates must have supermarket delivery experience.

The roles are working with our large supermarket client and involves loading and tipping the trailer from the regional distribution centre to stores (approximately 2 stores per shift) and reloading packaging waste back to the distribution centre.

Key Tasks

· Daily vehicle checks, reporting any defects

· Making on time deliveries to stores

· Tipping using machinery (electric pallet trucks)

· Reloading packaging waste back to the distribution centre

· Ensuring that your vehicle is clean and fit for the next delivery

· Attending site inductions and training

· Ensuring that health and safety is at the forefront of everything you do resulting in safe driving and minimal/zero damage to vehicles

· Compliance to company policies and procedures

· Communicating progress, delays, and key information

What’s on Offer?

· £181 - £217 per shift (depending on the shift pattern, including £11 per shift retention bonus)

o £181 4 on 4 off – AM and PM starts available (maximum of 12 hours but often less)

o £197 for working Monday to Friday as an extra shift

o £207 for working Saturdays (only as an extra shift and not part of working pattern)

o £217 for working Sundays (only as an extra shift and not part of working pattern)

· Shifts available: AM starts 8am – 11am

The Essentials

Here’s what we need from you in order to join the team:

· A minimum of 12 months’ experience driving HGVs (due to the complexity of some of the store deliveries)

· A valid C+E UK driving licence

· A valid UK Driver CPC

· A valid UK Digital Tachograph Card

· You must have held a valid UK HGV Class 1 licence for over 12 months and have no more than 6 penalty points

· Demonstrable recent driving experience (happy to discuss at interview)

· A strong knowledge and awareness of driver hours regulations
