Job description
Roberts Transport (Sussex) Ltd are looking to employ drivers who are reliable, flexible and able to take responsibility, you will be responsible for delivering the load safely and securely each and every time.
We have opportunities for Class 1 drivers (Class 1 C+E) for day/night/tramping work. Temperature Controlled deliveries to various U.K. locations, delivering to supermarket RDC’s.
You must have good communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude
Our Class 1 drivers are required to work different shift patterns, please note that this is not a Monday to Friday 9-5 position - early/late starts and weekend days will be required, we operate 364 days of the year (closed Christmas Day)
We have a pay structure in place to compensate the unsociable hours.. There is also an option to do some European driving.
As a member of our driving team, you will be dealing directly with our customers on a daily basis so excellent communication with our customers and office team along with personal skills are essential of course whilst always being polite and courteous.
To be considered for the role, you will need to demonstrate the following: -
· A Full UK Driving licence (maximum of 6 points)
· A Valid HGV driving licence.
· A valid digital tachograph and CPC card
- Good understanding of the WTD & Tacho laws
- Comply with working time directive rules and regulations as well as company policies and procedures
- Ensure vehicle is in a roadworthy condition at all time Follow company health and safety procedures
- Follow company health and safety procedures
- Minimum 2 years driving HGVs (please call 01903 717570 if less to discuss)
- Ability to recognise an unsafe load and rectify with the loaders

Salary: £132.30-£178.20 per day

Experience:
- Driving a Goods Vehicle: 2 years (preferred)
- driving: 1 year (preferred)
