Nizari Progressive Federal Credit Union (‘Nizari') is a member-owned financial institution with over $300 million in assets. We serve over 16,000 members. With an established management team in place, Nizari is seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Helpdesk Technician for its IT Department.
Function:
Provides technical support and assistance to members and staff, whether on the phone or in person. The primary intention is to ensure a client’s satisfaction and ability to properly operate any machinery or technology they may be having trouble with. Serving as the first point of contact for members and staff seeking technical assistance over the phone or email. Performing remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions. Determining the best solution based on the issue and details provided by members and staff.
- Manage Help Desk tickets in a timely manner, by monitoring and responding quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk, via phone, email, and through the ticketing system. Document tickets as necessary for completion and solutions.
- Run basic troubleshooting and identify failing hardware including servers, cameras, computers, printers, e-fax machines, scanners, and other miscellaneous machines.
- Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software. ·
- Install computer peripherals for users. ·
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware. Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems. ·
- Accountable for basic computer maintenance including dusting, cable management, windows updates on desktops, antivirus, and remote access. ·
- Oversees new user processes including adding information to appropriate logins as well as providing physical and logical access to systems (phone, logins, and emails). ·
- Assist in audits of information technology resources and services (user logins, processes, and log review). ·
- Ability to utilize and understand various monitoring tools ·
- On call availability to respond to network alerts, and production outages, and VIP requests ·
- Ensures printers, workstations, desktop software are maintained and upgraded with the latest patches while performing system troubleshooting ·
- Onboarding new users to Active directory, emails in office 365 and creating login in different applications ·
- Deactivating users who have been terminated from network and different applications ·
- Create and improve procedures and by writing and maintaining documentation
Qualifications:
- Experience: 1 - 3 years of similar or related experience ·
- Knowledge of office automation products, word processing, spreadsheet, e-mail, personal computers, PC operating systems, peripheral equipment, etc ·
- Must be able to work and travel independently and use general office equipment ·
- May work in confined spaces; have ability to lift up to 75 lbs; occasionally drive for business purposes ·
- Must have a basic knowledge of Office 365 ·
- Must have basic knowledge of Active Directory
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $42,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
