NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included. This is a part-time post 30 hours with a shift pattern of Monday to Friday, the days are negotiable. Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours. Working within the Health Visiting team, the post holder will support the Health Visiting team to provide an accessible, appropriate, culturally sensitive, safe, person centred and effective service for children, young people and families in the community, by working in partnership with service users, care providers and other agencies. The work will be facilitated, supervised and supported by the Health Visiting team. We are committed to supporting and developing our staff, facilities and services to provide the highest standard of care. We currently have one 30hrs permanent Health Care Support Worker post. The post provide an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in children and family’s lives and to work in a dynamic environment. We are committed to fully inducting our staff and to providing them with various training and shadowing opportunities within the multi-agency team. Minimum requirements for this post are; SVQ Level 3 in Healthcare or equivalent experienceAbility to work with people and as part of a team.Ability to work without direct supervision.Good communication skills both written and verbal.Experience of working with children.Ability to work with vulnerable children, young people and families.Basic computing skills.
