The Role of the Healthcare Support Manager:
- Selling a range of infection control solutions.
- Supporting a team of BDM's.
- This will involve managing 25 Hospital Trusts.
- Supporting them, training and educating them on the products and how best to reduce infection.
- Training staff, train the trainer, observational auditing, delivering study days and educating on products and how to use them & delivering presentations.
- Supporting the BDMs to win new business and helping maintain and retain the value of their key accounts with upselling/cross selling additional products and services eg: if a trust isn't buying soap from them find out why and let the BDM know!!
- Liaising generally with occupational health departments, facilities- both external FM companies and internal housekeepers, contract cleaners, infection control, and clinical staff within the acute setting.
- Covering the North & Scotland.
- You will be away from home 2-3 nights at a time on occasion. A lot of travel.
Benefits of the Healthcare Support Manager:
- £31k - £43k basic salary
- Pension - L&G, auto enrol month 3, 9% total - 6%/ 3% employee (can be increased)
- PMP - up to 12% salary, annual.

The Ideal Person for the Healthcare Support Manager:
- Ideally looking for someone with Key Account Management experience in a similar background within the healthcare industry (training/support/retention/account management/Monitoring hand hygiene procedures).
- At least 2 years experience within medical industry and someone who knows the NHS and the NHS processes.
- Ideally you will have exposure to Infection Control and other related depts in hospitals. Will also look at devices, decontamination, cleaning wipes, etc....
- A dynamic person who is highly motivated.
- Someone in their ascendancy.
- Someone who has done a training, educator role.
- Clinical/nursing experience would be looked at as well who wants to go into more of a commercial role - must understand the demands of a commercial role.
- Need to be very consultative, well organised, doesn't mind being away from home for perhaps days at a time.
