Job description
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and passionate individual interested in undertaking an apprenticeship to become a Healthcare Science Practitioner in Clinical Neurophysiology.
The role forms part of a team of Healthcare Science Practitioners performing functional diagnostic testing on the brain and the nervous system. You will learn to perform and interpret a range of test procedures including Electroencephalograms (EEG’s), Nerve Conduction Studies and Tri-modality Evoked Potentials. Our patient cohort includes adults and children and testing is performed within inpatient and outpatient settings.

In this apprenticeship we will work with you to develop into the role while undertaking a BSc (Hons) in Healthcare Science (Neurophysiology). To be eligible for this role you must have GCSE English and Maths at C/4 or above, A level C/32 UCAS points or above in science, or equivalent (BTEC in relevant Science, HE Diploma in relevant subject, professional experience). Time will be split between training on site and study at Middlesex University London. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a strong commitment to personal growth, development, and study.
The post is jointly supported by the Apprenticeship Levy and the Department of Clinical Neurophysiology and thus the degree qualification is funded, and the training post supported with a training wage during the fixed term contract period. It is hoped that on completion of all the necessary training and performance targets a substantiative post could be considered.
