The Health Records Department consists of Six core services based over three sites, and serves all Directorates and our patients. In this role you will provide leadership and expertise within a Team. We are a dynamic diverse team of over one hundred staff, where patients and records always come first. We maintain a large library of over one million patient records to a high standard, from creation, scanning, validation, to destruction and everything in-between. Our approachable receptionists support the Outpatient team run smoothly and efficiently, striving for an excellent patient experience. And, we also have a growing Subject Access team who provide our patients and their representatives access to a copy of their records electronically, via a patient portal. Our team are enthusiastic and supportive of removing the need for paper, and have accepted the huge challenge of scanning all paper records so they are available at the point of care for our patients. At present we have the following vacancies: Health Records Team Leader - Cross-site• 1 full time position: 37.5 hours per week (this will include Saturday working on a rota system, working pattern will not exceed a 5-day working week) You will require: Ability to co-ordinate and monitor the day to day operational issues within the Healthcare Records core services, ensuring that an effective and efficient service is provided to all service users. To ensure compliance/requirements with Health Records related statutory regulations and that legislation relating to the retention, preservation, and destruction of clinical records and associated documents and all other requirements are adhered to by all staff. To ensure healthcare records for subject access requests are located and disclosed in accordance with current legislation, Department of Health guidance, Trust Policy and Information Governance toolkit standards for patients and their representatives. To support projects relating to healthcare records and implementation of standards relating to healthcare records practices, policies and procedures and, in particular, those relating to the implementation of the Electronic Patient Record (EPR), Electronic Document Management (EDM) and Electronically Stored Information (ESI). To undertake validation, reviews and projects as required by the Healthcare Records Manager, making recommendations for change. Implementing changes to improve the patient experience and efficiency of the service always taking into account the implementation of EPR and EDM.
