Home Instead Care Professionals provide a variety of non-medical services that allow clients to remain in their own homes and to enhance the quality of their life. All our services are personalised to clients’ needs, wishes and preferences and we carefully match our Care Professionals to Clients. We are recruiting for people who are looking for a part-time role. Home Instead will offer suitable applicants a permanent guaranteed contract ranging from 16-30 hours, or 0 hours (if you just need few hours to suit you). You will become a highly qualified Care Professional who delivers exceptional care to our service users.
Pay Rates
- £12.00 - £13.00 per hour. Double bank holiday rate
- Paid Travel time. £10.42 (pro rata) for journey time
- 30p per mile mileage assistance .
- Work from home visiting clients across: Swanley, and local surrounding area
- 1-hour minimum visitation with each client. Some will require longer.
- Paid training and shadowing before you start
Duties vary. Each client is as individual as you and I.
Companionship Services
- Offer companionship and conversation.
- Monitor diet and eating.
- Stimulate and encourage through a variety of activities (for example clothing selection, hobbies and crafts).
- Arrange and provide reminders for appointments, activities and outings.
- Help with travel arrangements.
- Assist with walking and appropriate exercise
- Encourage social events (for example visiting friends or family, lunch, club meetings).
Home Help Services
- Run errands / collect prescriptions etc.
- Performing light housekeeping tasks (dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, washing and ironing, taking out rubbish, caring for houseplants etc.).
- Organise and tidy cupboards and check food expiry dates.
- Plans, prepare and tidy away meals.
- Supervise home maintenance.
- Help with shopping and oversee home deliveries.
Personal Care Services
- Provide medication reminders.
- Help with bathing, dressing and grooming.
- Help with continence care.
- Assist to eat and drink.
- Provide Dementia / Alzheimer care.
No formal qualifications needed. Full paid training given before you start.

Applicant Requirements
- Successful professional & personal References
- Clear Enhanced DBS (up-front payment of £46.40, Home Instead reimburse after 3 months service).
- Business cover on car insurance. (Access to transportation preferable).
- Successful completion of online and inhouse training, whereby you will work to achieve your care certificate.
- Covering North West Kent: BR5 1, BR5 2, BR5 4, BR5 3, DA14 6, DA14 5, BR8 7, BR8 8, DA4 9, DA2 7, DA4 0, DA3 8, DA3 7, DA13 0, TN15 7, TN15 8, TN15 9, TN15 6, TN14 5, TN14 7.
