Role Overview

To lead high performing teams in the effective management and optimisation of in-life healthcare initiatives, as well as the design, development, implementation and successful embedding of a wide range of healthcare improvement initiatives related to Bupa’s care policies, pathways, interventions, access to care routes and propositions.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the strategy, design and delivery for a significant area of healthcare improvement
  • Define and structure healthcare improvement opportunities in novel and innovative areas, setting clear objectives and delivery vehicles
  • Embed initiatives to ensure customer and business value is fully realised. Implement sustainable, robust processes and pathways with clear process definition and ownership to reduce unwarranted variation and ensure sustainable and consistent delivery
  • Initiate and manage complex projects including business case formation and healthcare initiative design, communication of proposition and achieving sign off from senior stakeholders.
  • Play a leadership role in cross-functional project teams, including internal and external partners and work as a business partner with other teams including analytics, marketing, sales, finance, IS, digital, Agile and service teams
  • Develop and demonstrate effective Agile project management skills to enable delivery of digital and non-digital healthcare pathway initiatives
  • Proactively source market intelligence by liaising with subject matter experts and building relationships which inform proposition development and innovative approaches to healthcare pathways.
  • Comply with internal governance processes and associated activities, including the timely development and circulation of materials for presentation at governance committees.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience in leading the scoping, design and implementation phases of complex business change initiatives involving cross functional teams
  • Strong knowledge or experience of using change management-specific methodology and skills including gap analysis, process mapping, workshop delivery
  • Experience of breaking down organisational boundaries through leadership, collaboration and influencing, building strong relationships with people at all levels based on trust
  • First class negotiation and influencing skills to successfully navigate complex decision-making with challenging stakeholders
  • Strong commercial capabilities and drive, including highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills to enable the design and successful delivery of business strategy
  • Experience of developing communications to promote or demonstrate the value of initiatives across multiple channels and to a wide range of audiences
