The Role
You’ll plan and deliver outstanding person-centred care and support to veterans at our new Centre of Wellbeing in Rustington.
You’ll provide guidance, structure, and role modelling to the Health Care Support by allocating daily tasks, mentoring, supporting and problem-solving to ensure the smooth and effective running of each shift.
You’ll undertake all personal care duties for beneficiaries, ensuring good standards of hygiene are maintained and all care needs and met, always upholding their dignity.
You’ll also administer, store, dispose of, record and order medication and support our veterans to experience high quality and safe dining experiences, arranging the delivery of meals to bedrooms where needed.
Additionally, you’ll complete all documentation to an accurate and high standard relating to care needs such as risk assessments, observations, care plans and handover notes.
About You
You’ll have an NVQ in Health and Social Care at level 2 (or equivalent), with the desire to work towards Health and Social Care level 3, alongside knowledge of Health and Safety in relation to delivering care.
With a professional demeanour and tactful communication skills, you’ll be adept at creating a positive and focused working culture and act as a role model to the wider team.
You’ll also have IT knowledge ranging from electronic care systems to Microsoft Word, Outlook and Teams and the ability to maintain accurate records and write reports.
Previous experience and understanding of working with visually impaired, disabled or elderly persons is desirable.
This is a shift-based role that will include evenings, weekends and rotational night duty.
