BP, pulse, pulse oximetry and temperature readings Facilitate routine and 24-hour BP monitoring Urinalysis New patient checks Undertake wound care, dressings and other clinical tasks as required ECG recording B12 Injections Flu, Pneumonia and Shingles injections (Training will be provided if necessary) Support the practice nurse with the management of chronic disease clinics Spirometry (Training will be provided if necessary) Ear irrigation (Training will be given if necessary) Chaperoning duties Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/nurses Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording Maintaining equipment and vaccine re-stocking and stock rotation Checking and maintaining the emergency equipment Ensure clinical waste is removed from clinical areas and left out for collection in accordance with the practice IPC policy Clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions, including assisting GPs during the performance of minor operations Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patients health and well-being Helping to raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted Assisting with the collection and collation of data on needs related to health and well-being
