- Role: Healthcare Assistant (Afternoon/Evening Weekend Healthcare Assistant)
- Location: Leeds
- Hours: Part-time, Afternoons, Evenings, Weekends
- Salary: £10.50 - £11.50.
- Rate of pay increases upon proof of NVQ qualifications in Health and Social care*
- No experience required as all training given, driver and own car essential.
- Travel time and mileage paid.
- You may be required to work alternate weekends.
- Monday - Sunday
- 14:.30 - 19.00
- 19.00-23.00
- Supporting our service users with all aspects of personal care including washing, bathing and toileting.
- Administering medication in a way appropriate for the service user.
- Preparing meals for service users where necessary.
- Providing support with shopping and light domestic tasks.
- Providing companionship to all service users.
- More complex care is required with some service users e.g. cough assistant and peg feeding, however full training is given.
- Be honest, reliable, and trustworthy.
- Have good listening and communication skills.
- Have empathy for service users’ situations.
- Be committed to working as part of a team.
- Be physically fit and in good health.
- Be happy to work in a diverse multi-cultural society.
- Be aware of the varied needs of people in the community.
- Be reliable - this is essential as people’s lives are affected by our service.
- Be willing to do mandatory training and updates as required.
