The Parkside Inpatient Wardat Heatherwood is a modern purpose-built Private Patient unit which comprises of 10 en-suite single rooms that are light and airy. The Private inpatient ward will be for elective surgical patients only for a mixture of specialities. It is situated on the 3rdfloor of of the brand new Hospital.

1. Assisting patients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
2. Monitoring patients' vital signs and reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
3. Assisting in the preparation of patients for surgical procedures, including preparing the necessary equipment and ensuring the patient's comfort.
4. Providing emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families before and after surgery.
5. Helping to maintain a clean and organized environment in the ward, including changing bed linens and cleaning patient areas.
6. Assisting with the distribution and collection of meals and ensuring that patients' dietary requirements are met.
7. Supporting the nursing staff in providing wound care and dressing changes for post-surgical patients.
8. Helping to transfer patients safely between different areas of the ward and other departments.
9. Documenting patient information accurately and maintaining patient records.
10. Assisting in the implementation of infection control measures and maintaining a sterile environment.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To ensure that all patients, visitors and staff are treated in a courteous, professional and caring manner and receive prompt assistance when required.

- To adhere to hospital policy in relation to patient confidentiality at all times.
- To be aware of their responsibilities under the 1974 Health and Safety at Work Act. Care should be taken in all aspects of work to ensure that these and other safety regulations, e.g. C.O.S.H.H. and Manual Handling Policy are adhered to.
- To report any accidents and/or incidents occurring to patients, visitors, staff or oneself according to hospital policy.
