Job description

We are looking for a new team member to join our dynamic team in Solihull, West Midlands as a Health Care Assistant, Hospice and Community based.

Title: Healthcare Assistant, Hospice and Community

Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, aligned with AFC BAND 2 £21,318 per annum pro rata plus enhancements.

Annual Leave Entitlement will take into account previous years of service under Agenda for Change terms and conditions

Marie Curie Clinical terms and conditions in 2023. These will align with some of the core terms and conditions of the NHS (Agenda for Change contracts). This will include new high-cost area supplement where applicable and unsocial hours enhancements.

Hours/Contract: 37.5 hours per week

Contract Type: Full Times- Days and Nights

Based: Solihull, West Midlands

We are looking for Health Care Assistants who have experience working within a health care setting, in particular Palliative care or the community.

Marie Curie are here for people living with any terminal illness, and their families. Marie Curie offers expert care, guidance and support to help them get the most from the time they have left.

Our Marie Curie nurses and healthcare assistants work night and day, in people’s homes across the UK, providing hands-on care and vital emotional support.

Our Marie Curie hospices offer specialist round-the-clock care. Marie Curie support people throughout their illness by giving practical information, support from trained volunteers and being there when someone wants to talk.

    We are looking for candidates who are motivated, dedicated and being part of a multi-disciplinary team that focuses on Person centered care, providing excellent patient care to patients and their families at the hospice or within their own homes.The pattern of work is primarily on a shift basis of 12.5 hours. long days and long nights inclusive of weekends and bank holidays. We are looking for candidates on a full-time basis of 37.5 hours, however there is opportunity for part-time hours.

Ideally candidates will hold a full driving licence

Inpatient Unit Shift Times

Long Day 07.00-19.30

Long Night 19.30-07.30

Hospice at Home Shift Times

Day 07.30-20.00
