Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Health Care Assistants to join our committed and motivated team on Ward 310 at the Royal Derby Hospital. Ward 310 is an 29 bed acute, fast paced medical ward which specialises in Diabetes and Endocrinology.
We care for acutely ill patients with many medical complications. We also have general medicine patients – allowing staff to maximise their skills and increase their knowledge.
If you have the drive, determination, and a can-do attitude, who can work well as part of a team whilst delivering the best possible care to our patients we would like to hear from you.
We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant who is reliable, hardworking and who is committed to providing excellent patient care. You will be expected to provide a wide range of duties to ensure our patients receive the best care possible.
Shifts consist of long days and nights.
Ideally you will have previous experience in a care setting, with an NVQ or equivalent in Health and Social care, be an attentive listener and have a flexible approach to working.
Numeracy and literacy skills are essential.

Additional skills such as taking blood will be available to learn and competency packages to complete.
