Avaliable Job Today As a Support Worker, you will help patients navigate the health service, assist them with mobility and physical care, administer medication' The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, working knowledge of mental health, and the ability to work a varied schedule.
Support Worker Responsibilities
- Provide patient care and living assistance
- Monitor the physical and health of patients
- Keep accurate patient records
- Providing emotional support to individuals and their families.
- Providing practical support for individuals and their families, such as helping with household tasks, personal care and paperwork.
- Supporting and monitoring their healthcare needs, including administering medication and temperature checks.
- Supporting them to pursue hobbies and interests.
- Understanding their communication needs and adapting your communication to each individual, e.g. sounds, tones, body language.
- Working with other professionals, such as doctors and therapists, to ensure consistency of support.
Support Worker Requirements
- Knowledge of mental health and clinical diagnoses
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work on a flexible schedule
