An exciting opportunity has arisen for individuals to work within the Acute Medicine for the Elderly Unit (AME) in Ninewells. AME is a 24-bedded, short stay, elderly assessment unit, which currently receives patients from the Acute Medical Unit and the Emergency Department.
We are a unit that embraces change and improvement. AME utilises a multi-disciplinary approach to delivering the best care experience possible for patients, their families and carers therefore successful candidates would be expected to participate in current initiatives and improvements within the clinical environment.
These posts offer opportunities for individuals to further advance their skills and knowledge within the field of Acute Medicine for the Elderly nursing whilst working towards achieving evidence based competencies utilising the “Older Peoples Framework”.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about the Care of Older People in an acute setting, possess a positive attitude to change and are committed to a high standard of person centred care. You should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
