If the answer is yes, we have a Healthcare Worker vacancy at Heather ward Inpatient Unit in St Martins Canterbury . The ward itself has recently undertaken a full refurb so is a modern and up to date working environment. The unit specialises in the assessment and treatment of older adults with both functional and organic mental health issues. Heather ward is a 15 bedded unit based at St Martins Hospital in Canterbury. The Healthcare Worker is a key member of the multidisciplinary care team and will have continuing responsibility to: Deliver an effective and competent level of care under the guidance and supervision of the associate workers, senior associate workers, qualified nurses and occupational therapists, determined by the patient’s plan of care. Be fully aware of the needs of patients over a 24 hour span of care. Have knowledge and experience in mental health and older people Have the ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing Be willing to develop your knowledge and skills set and complete any competencies required within your role. Have previous experience of working with people with severe mental health problems and experience or knowledge of caring for people in an inpatient setting.
