Healthcare Assistant - Ophthalmology ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join our team as an Ophthalmology Healthcare Assistant. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our ophthalmology clinic and the well-being of our patients. Your responsibilities will include: Conducting eye examinations Preparing consultation rooms for the clinician Escorting patients to the clinician for further consultation or additional tests Manage and enhance the overall patient experience, providing a welcoming and compassionate atmosphere. Conduct GDPR and COVID security checks with patients to safeguard their data and health Assist medical professionals by handling patient data, ensuring all records are complete and accurate Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate patient appointments, ensuring efficient scheduling and a seamless patient journey Ensure timely completion of reports, including outcomes and provide any administrative support as needed Strictly adhere to infection control procedures to maintain a clean and safe healthcare environment for patients and staff Please note that as we run a 7-day service, you will be required to work 3 out of 7 days. Shift patterns are generally between 07:00/ 07:30 - 17:30/18:00 Clinic Locations include: Reading, Berkshire and Slough Base: Landmark Office Space - Reading ABOUT YOU MUST HAVE a Driving License and own vehicle to visit the multiple sites Previous experience in administration is preferable but not essential IT literate with proficiency in using computer systems and software You must show a great passion for providing high-quality care and take pride in your work BENEFITS Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent 24 hours per week Starting salary £22,500 which increases to £24,000 after training Ongoing support and training Excellent career progressions Quarterly bonus of £250 Claim 0.45p per mile 20 days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays + 1 additional day per year of service Pension Scheme NHS Employee Discounts Uniform Supplied Full induction and technical training upon commencement ABOUT HEALTH HARMONIE Established in 2003, we bring high-quality healthcare services closer to patients.
